Our client is currently seeking a Production Planner Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:
00 am - 3:
00 pm (On-site)Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Management of the short-term production planning.
Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, operations, quality and customer support to understand demand forecasts and production requirements.
Assess production capacity and capabilities to align with demand forecasts.
Identify and address bottlenecks or capacity constraints in collaboration with relevant departments.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance production efficiency with the need to meet customer demand.
Implement strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
Communicate schedules to relevant teams and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the production planning and scheduling functions.
Analyze production and performance data to identify trends, forecast future demands, and make data-driven decisions.
Maintain accurate records of production plans, schedules, and performance metrics.
Generate regular reports for management on production efficiency, adherence to schedules, and other relevant key performance indicators.
Meet daily with key stakeholders, reviewing upcoming orders and calling out any potential risks.
Recommend/coordinate overtime with production as needed.
Committed to providing a safe food product.
Works within all regulatory requirements.
Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
Participate in operations/site projects.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies related to production planning and scheduling.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the other members of the planning team.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
Perform all other related duties as required.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.

years of experience in working as a production planner.
Execution, planning, scheduling control.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is preferred, specifically Aptean ERP.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Good oral & written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service skills.
Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Ability to work within deadlines.
Focused on orders, quality, and accuracy.
Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal.
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity about why things are the way they are; challenge the status quo.
Demonstrate a tendency toward action; materialize thoughts into products or services.
Teamwork and cooperation - be part of the team and work together for ideas and opinions for planning and decision making.
Flexibility and initiative - Ability to adapt and work effectively in a variety of situations.
